What happens when the tool enters the machine?

DUALITY I places the hand tool inside the computer.

The hammer, once a direct extension of the body, is framed behind the screen: translated into command, speed, simulation, and system. The contest is no longer only man against machine. It is labor against automation, skill against acceleration, and human effort against tools powerful enough to extend the hand or erase it.

Creation and destruction are not treated as opposites here. They are two outcomes of the same force.

Rutilated and tourmalinated quartz appear in DUALITY I as natural circuitry. Clear stone is crossed by needles and interruptions — silicon, titanium, heat, and pressure held in one body. The material carries the same question as the line: what does the tool become once the machine holds it?

 Restraint / Growth

Are you trapped by the cage, or learning to climb it?

DUALITY II explores the structures built around survival.

The cage is not only a prison. It can also become protection, boundary, architecture, and form. The vine is not only escape. It is pressure, patience, and the will to continue.

In the aftermath of decline, growth does not wait for permission. It learns the shape of restraint, climbs through it, and changes what the cage means.

 Performance / Authenticity

Are you performing, or being moved?

DUALITY III studies the performed self.

The marionette is the central object: a body moved by strings, mechanisms, gestures, and expectations. The line explores the version of a person shaped for work, survival, approval, safety, status, or escape.

It asks where performance ends and authenticity begins. It looks at the systems that move through everyday life, and whether the person moving is still the one in control.
